iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch does not appear under Devices in iTunes after you connect it to your Mac, try troubleshooting using the assistant for your device:

iPhone
iPad
iPod touch

If the issue continues, refer to the additional troubleshooting suggestions below.
