If you are unable to access or set up voicemail for the first time, or after updating to iPhone 2.0 software or later, and encounter one of the following symptoms:
- Tapping Phone > Voicemail displays the following screen:

or
- Tapping and holding ’1′ for more than 2 seconds on Phone > Keypad does not contact your voicemail.

You can purchase and download applications for iPhone and iPod touch from the iTunes Store using iTunes on your Mac or PC or using the App Store1 on iPhone or iPod touch. If your iPhone does not appear under Devices in iTunes after you connect it to your Mac, try the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant. If the issue continues, refer to the additional troubleshooting suggestions below.
